MELLIPOP SAYS SAYONARA

Ok, so it's been a month and I've not wanted to come anywhere near the land of blog (and still don't) so I'm going to officially announce my semi-retirement from Mellipop.

I say "semi" to cover my arse in case the urge ever strikes to return. Which it may. Or may not. But saying goodbye at least takes the motherfucker off my "To Do" List for now.

So bye for now guys and thanks for helping to keep me sane. Hopefully I'll get to see some of you folks in person real soon.

.....well it was fun while it lasted Mellipop.....heaven knows you can only write so much about how much a $%#@heap Perth is and how much destruction your dogs continue to do!!! :).....shame to deprive the world of your creative/potty mouthed writing though :)

Well I will sincerely miss reading your blog on my lunch break Mel but I understand and support your 'semi-retirement' (and my fingers are crossed that it is only 'semi'!)

Lotsa luv,

P.S. Big 'hi' to Anton and a pat each for the puppies.

Aww... [am hoping you'll be back and blogging soon!] I'll miss your humour. I hope things start looking up for you and Anton, whether that be in Perth or back in Sydney. Thanks for popping in on my blog. Take care and be good to yourself :)

Next to cigarettes and wine, the thing I most looked forward to each day was a dose of Mellipop. I am devastated. Blogland (at least the part of it I've found) is tragically short of such humour. I will beg if it will make a difference, but a girl's gotta do etc... hope whatever it is it's right for you and brings you as many laughs as you've given us.

Hey Mel,

If I actually thought you were going to stop blogging, I'd point out that to those of us back here who can't hang out and talk shit with you, your blog is a friendly substitute that would be most painfully missed. But I'm not too worried - every blog has a post like this, sooner or later. You feel uninspired, and pressured to write something. But people understand that sometimes the mood just dissapears for a while, and sometime soon you're going to get pissed off by something and find yourself writing the blog entry in your head...

Will miss you heaps Mel. Thanks for your support since I've been blogging. I suppose I can sympathise a little: blogging been a bit of a chore for me lately as well.

Good luck with the wedding and getting the hell out of Perth! Please drop by if the urge to return strikes you.

Cheerz,

Ross

Nooooooooooooooooo ! How will we keep up with the world of Mellipop now ?

Mind you, like Nick I'm sure you aren't serious m'dear. It's like one of your infrequent vows to quit smoking - it'll last for a while, but I know sooner or later you'll be back with a new pack of Marlboros in one hand, beer in the other, and sporting a cheeky grin.

Till then - take it easy, hope to see you and Anton soon !

All good and well to give up the Blog, but does this mean you will a) Answer your mobile now to catch up with friends or b) Be home now to answer the home phone when I ring to catch up....

Ps If you are in Syd by 19 August Matt Handley (ex Pollyanna singer) is at Sydney Uni with Dave McCormack and Gersey...

The boredom of lunch will again settle over me.....

Miss and luv ya heaps...Hopefully see you soon..

Adios, Mi bonita Amiga! You, like me, give so much when we can be happy. Happy times will come again, and we will engage in our hilarity renewed.

Yours,

Mike
